Since 1982, Stone Island has pushed the boundaries of possibility and redefined the relationship between clothing and matter through the development of unique materials, treatment techniques, and colour recipes. The new 'Stone Island Material Science' initiative opens a window into the brand's world of invention and transformation, exploring its relentless pursuit of material research and innovation starting with one of its cornerstone fabrics, Raso Gommato.

Raso Gommato, known for its innovative combination of military-derived cotton and satin weave, has been a cornerstone of Stone Island since its introduction in 1984. For Spring_Summer '025, the material evolves with a three-layer version and a special treatment that starts with a resin bath, followed by camouflage laser, and garment dyeing, which reveals the graphic tone-on-tone pattern, giving each garment an unrepeatable look and feel.
