REFLECTIVE–
In 1992, Stone Island began its research on reflective fabrics based on the study of safety work wear, leading to the idea of coating textiles with resins containing thousands of glass microspheres. Through the years, Stone Island has evolved the research, extending the interpretations of the concept on different textile bases and at the many experimental processes applied to finished garments.

In 2016 Stone Island’s research introduces garment dyeing on reflective fabrics. The landmark iridescent Nylon Metal fabric is printed with a resin substance containing thousands of glass microspheres. The garment dyeing procedure, with the addition of a special anti-drop agent, lends extraordinary colors to the textile base.
