01 DESIGN
The two-level store is set within a Haussmann-style building in the 1st arrondissement, juxtaposing traditional architecture with Stone Island’s contemporary design ethos. The black metal-framed facade offers a generous view of the interiors where a large skylight fills the space with natural light, highlighting the thoughtful integration of innovative materials with the building's historic character as well as recurring collaborations with creatives.
02 MATERIALS
–The store is defined by dark, textured cork walls produced through burning, sandblasting, and coating techniques, offering sound and humidity absorption. The cork alternates with walls crafted from compressed layers of soil, evoking the natural veins of the earth. Light fixtures by Tim Hooijmans of De Studio, made from recyclable aluminum billets, are designed to minimize energy consumption while maximizing longevity.
03 SPACES
At the store’s entrance, a minimalist anodized aluminum table by Johan Viladrich is featured alongside a large-scale speaker by Mo Yasin, which pays tribute to the city’s multicultural music scene while playing tracks from the Stone Island Sound project. The ground floor includes a glass vitrine by Phil Procter showcasing archival garments and a daybed chair by Markus Toll in a custom palette created for the store. A stainless steel and glass staircase, with mini digital screens along the wall, leads to the upper floor where stainless steel walls frame a pill-shaped red niche. The space is completed by lighting from Davide Groppi and the now iconic aluminum trunk by Elvis Wesley.
04 LIMITED EDITION
To mark the opening, Stone Island has created a special Glass Cover-TC bomber jacket available exclusively at the Paris flagship. The limited-edition piece, with only 15 numbered items, showcases a unique 'under glass' effect created by the polyester mesh construction, which is protected by a semi-gloss transparent polyurethane film. The Stone Island logo, printed on the reverse side of the fabric, is visible from the exterior, with the semi-gloss cover providing a three-dimensional effect.
