The campaign highlights materials with distinctive effects that are the result of Stone Island's continuous research and experimentation. The liquid glass metal appearance of Metal Mesh PVD Nanotechnology is created by using the Physical Vapor Deposition technique in which solid metal is vaporised then deposited as a nanometric film on the fabric. Garments in Glass Cover-TC are made from a polyester mesh protected by a semi-gloss transparent polyurethane film whose transparency reveals the texture of the underlying mesh, for an 'under glass' effect.
